Removing application analytics. CodePlex doesn't seem to be maintaining this feature anymore.

Here is yet another iteration toward what will eventually become Image Resizer 3. This release is stable. However, I'm calling it a preview since there are still many features I'd like to add before calling it complete.

As usual, here is my progress report.

It would sure be nice if folks didn't have to deal with the confusion of having both a 32-bit and 64-bit setup. Going forward, this could also bootstrap any required dependencies. And, when things get multi-lingual on us, it could inteligently show and install the correct language files.

Commented Issue: Error when replacing originals causes file deletion [7576]

With "Replace the Originals" option enabled after doing a few directories containing no more than 30 files of JPG images I noticed an error message generated by your program. It indicated one or more files had errors during the conversion. I looked in the directory of files and a file was missing. The file your program failed to convert was deleted. This happened on about 1 out of 5 directories of files I processed. These JPG images are just phone camera images created by my BlackBerry. Your program should verify successful conversion prior to deleting the original! Right now your program causes data loss in the form of original files being deleted. A very serious bug!

Thanks for reporting this. I will make sure the file is written before deleting the original. By the way, Image Resizer never actually deletes a file, it just moves it to the Recycle Bin. Look there for missing files.

Closed Issue: Output is darker in black areas [7526]

A big problem is that the resized picture of the new version 3 is darker than the original and also the previous version.changing the picture features is not what we want from this tool.
in may test:Original/Resized by (2.1) in same res./Resized by new version in same res.
size are:3.90MB/0.97MB/1.86MB

Won't fix. Image Resizer defers the Windows Imaging Component to actually do the resizing.

Prepare to have your minds blown...again. This is the second preview of what will eventually become Image Resizer 3. This release is stable. However, I'm calling it a preview since there are still many features I'd like to add before calling it complete.

It would be nice to have a checkbox to ignore the original aspect ratio, so if I have a group of images with slightly different dimensions that should be the same, Image Resizer could stretch them to fit the specified dimensions. I'm going to see if I can't code this in later on, will submit a patch if I am successful.

I frequently resize imges and pastee them into rtf fields in an oracle database. It would simplify my operations if i didn`t have to first create the resized image and then copy it for pasting later on. I don`t need the resized images after this, so it is a drag to always delete them afterwards. Couldn`t this be done in one operation? "Resize and copy (to clipboard)"

It would be great to allow customizing the resizing labels to fit in with a user's personal picture naming and organizing scheme. For example, I may want a resized photo to be named "IMG-0327 (Resized-L)" rather than "IMG-0327 (Large)". ALSO, I would like to be able to control whether or not a space gets inserted before the resizing label: ie, "IMG-0327(Large)" vs. "IMG-0327 (Large)".

I see there is another item similar to this: "Change Output name". The other item didn't request flexibility of including or not including a space before the custom name.

Your program is awesome -- I was really bummed when Win7 didn't include this feature. Thanks!

Vista pc. Image Resizer downloaded successfully but only the prime user/administrator can use it.

The actual programme does not show on the Start Menu ... all that is there is Documentation/Licence.

How can I make it available to all users on my pc?
